Do not forget the etiquettes and prayers before sleep. Bedtime Supplication: Perform ablution. Go to your bed and pat it three times to remove any dust. Lie on your right side facing the qibla, with a pure heart free from deceit and malice, and say repentantly: In Your name, my Lord, I lie down, and in Your name I rise. So forgive my sins. O Allāh! If You take my soul (during sleep), have mercy on it, and if You return it (to my body in the morning), protect it as You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allāh! By Your Name I live and die. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every evil thing, and from the evil of every creature whose forelock You hold. Truly, Allāh's path is the only straight path. You are the First, nothing has come before You. You are the Last, nothing will come after You. You are the Manifest—there is nothing above You. You are the Hidden—there is nothing beyond You. Relieve us of debt and spare us from poverty.
O Allāh! You created my soul, and You can withdraw it. Its death and its life belong to You. If You take it, forgive it; and if You give it life, protect it as You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allāh! I ask You for pardon and well-being. O Allāh! Wake me at the time most beloved to You, and employ me in the deeds most beloved to You drawing me near to You and keeping me far from Your displeasure. I ask You and You give me. I seek Your forgiveness and You forgive me. I call upon You and You answer me. Then recite Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ, Sūrah al-Falaq and Sūrah an-Nās with your palms held together, open and facing upward. Then blow into your palms, then wipe them over whatever part of your body you can, starting from the top of your head, over your face, and down the rest of what you can reach of your body. Do this three times.
Glory be to Allāh (33 times). Praise be to Allāh (33 times). Allāh is Supreme (34 times). I seek forgiveness from Allāh, the Magnificent—there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance. (3 times) Then place your right hand under your right cheek and say:
O Allah, I submit myself to You, entrust my affairs to You, and rely on You in hope and fear. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book that You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.
