In the Name of Allah. Allah is Supremely Great! Allah is Supremely Great! Allah is Supremely Great! I pronounce over myself, my faith, my family, my children, my property, my companions, their faith, and their property, a billionfold: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great." (3)
In the Name of Allah, by Allah, from Allah, to Allah, relying on Allah, and through Allah. There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
"In the Name of Allah," over my faith and myself. "In the Name of Allah," over my property, my family, my children, and my companions. "In the Name of Allah," over everything my Lord has given me. In the Name of Allah, Lord of the seven heavens, Lord of the seven earths, and Lord of the magnificent throne.
In the Name of Allah, the best of all names on earth and in the heavens. In the Name of Allah I begin and with Him I end. Allah, Allah, Allah is my Lord, I associate no one with Him. Allah, Allah, Allah, there is no god but He. Allah, Allah, Allah is mightier, more majestic, and supremely greater than what I fear and dread. (3 times)
O Allāh! I seek refuge in You from the evil of my lower self (nafs), the evil of others, and the evil of all that my Lord has created. With You, O Allāh, I fortify myself against them. With You, O Allāh, I turn them back. With You, O Allāh, I seek protection from their evil. I ask You to be my sufficiency against them. I place [as a shield] between myself and all those in my care — and between them:
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Sustainer needed by all. He begot no one nor was He begotten. None is comparable to Him. (3 times) [Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ (112), Verses 1-4]
And the same (protection) on my right side and theirs, my left and theirs, before me and them, behind me and them, above me and them, below me and them, and likewise encompassing me, them and all that we encompass.
O Allah, place me and them in Your protection, Your refuge, among Your servants and those under Your care, within Your shelter, Your safety, Your safekeeping, among those devoted to You, in Your fortress, Your covering, and Your gentleness beyond the reach of every devil, ruler, human, jinn, rebel, envier, beast, snake, and scorpion, and from the evil of every creature You take by the forelock. Surely my Lord’s way is a straight path.
The Lord is sufficient for me over all who are subject to lordship. The Creator is sufficient for me over all created things. The Provider is sufficient for me over all who are provided for. The Protector is sufficient for me over all who are protected. The Granter of Victory is sufficient for me over all who are granted victory. The Subduer is sufficient for me over all who are subdued. Sufficient for me is He who is all I need. Sufficient for me is He who has always been my sufficiency. Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs. Allah is sufficient for me from [needing] all of His creation.
Indeed, my Protector is Allāh Who sent down the Book, and it is He Who protects the righteous. [Sūrah Al-A‛rāf (7) Verse 196] When you (O Prophet) recite the Qur'ān, We put a hidden barrier between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter. We put veils over their hearts—leaving them unable to comprehend it—and deafness in their ears. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur'ān, they turn their backs in aversion. [Sūrah Al-Isrā’ (17) Verses 45-46]
But if they turn away, say: "Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. In Him I put my trust. And He is the Lord of the magnificent throne." (7 times)
There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. May the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon our master Muḥammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family and his companions.
Then blow lightly, without spitting, to your right (3 times), to your left (3 times), in front of you (3 times), and behind you (3 times).
I have hidden myself in the treasures of "In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful." Their locks are my trust in Allāh. Their keys are: "There is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah." I defend myself through You, O Allāh, against what I can bear and what I cannot. A created being is powerless against the power of the Creator. Allāh is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. By the hidden subtlety of Allāh’s gentleness; by the subtle workings of Allāh; by the beautiful covering of Allāh; I enter into the shelter of Allāh. I seek intercession through our master, the Messenger of Allāh. I protect myself with the Names of Allāh. I believe in Allāh. I place my trust in Allāh. I keep Allāh as my refuge for every difficulty.
O Allāh, the One Whose Name is beloved and Whose Countenance is sought, protect me from what my heart dreads. You prevail over all, and none can prevail over You. And may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon our master Muḥammad, and upon his family and companions. Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs.
Then say:
حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ (70)
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. (70 times)
