Glory be to the Sovereign, the Holy. (3 times)

The One free from all defects, the Holy. The Lord of the angels and the Spirit (Jibrīl). You have draped the heavens and the earth in might and grandeur. You are exalted in power, and You have subdued all creation with death.

O Allāh! I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and I seek safety with You from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I could never praise You enough. You are as You have praised Yourself.

And (also mention) Dhu’n-Nun (Jonah) when he went away enraged (at his people who persistently disbelieved and paid no attention to his warnings), and he thought that We would not cause any distress. Then he cried out in (the layers of) the darkness (of night, under the sea and in the belly of the fish): “There is no god but You. Glory be to You! Surely, I was of those (who have wronged themselves).” [Sūrah Al-Anbiyā` (21), Verse 87]

O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting. There is no god but You. Glory be to You. Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers. (40 times)

(May this prayer continue without end) at every moment forever, as many times as the number of everything You have created, the extent of Your Pleasure, the weight of Your Throne, and the ink that it would take to write Your Words.

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. All praise be to Allāh, Lord and Sustainer of everything that exists. There is no god but Allāh alone; He has no partner. All sovereignty is His, and to Him belongs all praise. In His hand is all good, and He has power over all things. There is no god but Allāh.

His are the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the Wise. [Sūrah Al-Ḥashr (59), Verse 24]

O Allāh, bestow blessings and peace in every moment forever, in measure like the vastness of Your knowledge, upon our master Muḥammad, his family, his companions, and upon all the prophets and the righteous until the Day of Judgement.

O Allāh, we ask You by Your Beautiful Names and by Your perfect words — those we know and those we do not — to always forgive us, our loved ones and all Muslims for every sin; cover all our faults; relieve us of every distress; avert and lift from us every affliction; grant us well-being against every trial, tribulation and hardship in both worlds; and fulfill all our needs in them. O You who are Allāh! There is no god but You. O Knower of the unseen and the seen! Glory be to You, there is no god but You. O Lord of Majesty and Bounty. I ask You by Your highest, mightiest, most majestic, and most noble Name, O Lord of Majesty and Bounty and magnificent gifts.

O Allāh! (200 times). [Repeat more or less 200 times, and intend with each repetition that Allāh will fulfill all one's needs.]

O Allāh! O Most Compassionate, O Most Merciful, O Absolute Ruler, O Holy, O Source of Peace, O Granter of Security, O Guardian over all, O Almighty, O Compeller, O Supreme, O Creator, O Maker, O Fashioner, O Most Forgiving, O Irresistible, O Supreme Bestower, O Provider, O Opener, O All-Knowing, O Constrictor, O Extender, O Abaser, O Exalter, O Bestower of Honour, O Humiliator, O All-Hearing, O All-Seeing, O Ultimate Judge, O Just, O Subtle One, O All-Aware, O Forbearing, O Magnificent, O All-Forgiving, O Rewarder of Thankfulness, O High, O Great, O Preserver, O Maintainer, O Reckoner, O Majestic, O Infinitely Generous, O Watchful, O Responsive, O All-Embracing, O Perfectly Wise, O Loving One, O Most Glorious, O Resurrector, O Witness, O Ultimately Real, O Trustee, O All-Powerful, O Firm, O Protecting Friend, O Praised One, O Appraiser, O Originator, O Restorer, O Giver of Life, O Taker of Life, O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, O One Who Possesses Everything, O Glorious, O Unique, O One, O Matchless, O Sustainer needed by all, O All-Powerful, O All-Determiner, O Expediter, O Delayer, O First, O Last, O Manifest, O Hidden, O Sole Governor, O Supremely Exalted, O Source of All Goodness, O Guide to Repentance, O Avenger, O Pardoner, O Most Kind, O Eternal Owner of Sovereignty, O Lord of Majesty and Bounty, O Equitable, O Gatherer, O Self-Sufficient, O Enricher, O Preventer, O Creator of the Harmful, O Benefactor, O Light, O Guide, O Incomparable Originator, O Everlasting, O Inheritor of All, O Guide to the Right Way, O Most Patient!

Bestow blessings and peace in every moment forever, in the measure of all that You know, upon our master Muḥammad and his family. Have mercy on us and all Muslims. Protect us and all Muslims. Grant us and all Muslims victory. Grant relief to us and to all Muslims. Hasten the destruction of the enemies of the faith. Grant us and our loved ones in this very moment and in every moment forever what You grant Your righteous servants, together with complete well-being in this world and the next. Grant us the spiritual openings You have granted those who truly know You. Enrich us through what is lawful so that we never reach for what is forbidden; and through obedience to You, so that disobedience holds no pull for us; and through Your grace, so that we need no one besides You. Guide us to the best of deeds and character, for none guides to them but You. Keep evil traits and actions away from us, for none keeps them away but You.

O Allāh, we ask You for complete pardon, well-being, and lasting protection in our faith, our worldly affairs, our family, and our wealth.

O Allāh, conceal our faults, calm our fears, protect us from every danger between us and paradise, and grant us and our loved ones forever the happiness of both worlds.

O Allāh, O You from whom none can escape, O You who hears every voice, O You who clothe bones with flesh and resurrects them after death: bestow blessings and peace upon our master Muḥammad and his family and grant us and all Muslims relief from every anxiety, a way out of every hardship, and provide us with sustenance from sources beyond our expectation.

O First before all firsts, and Last after all lasts, O Possessor of firm power, O Compassionate to the destitute, O Most Merciful of all who show mercy, grant us such a mercy by which we find happiness in this world and the next; by which You fulfill all our needs and the needs of all Muslims in both worlds; by which You grant us what You grant those beloved to You; by which You provide us with perfect gnosis, love for You, guidance, success, mindfulness of You, chastity, well-being, richness, contentment and certainty; and by which You gather for us the good of this world and faith, together with complete safety from every tribulation, test, evil, heedlessness, distress, harm, sin, fault, witchcraft and evil eye.

O Allāh! We ask You for ourselves, our loved ones, and for all Muslims until the Day of Judgement, in every moment forever, to grant us the good Your servant and Prophet Muḥammad (may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him and his family) and Your righteous servants ever asked of You. And we seek refuge in You from what Your servant and Prophet Muḥammad (may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him and his family) and Your righteous servants ever sought refuge from. You are the One whose help is sought, and upon You we rely to bring all things to fruition. And there is no ability to change from one state to another, nor any strength, except by Allah.

O Allāh! Grant us and them every good — immediate and deferred, outward and inward — that Your infinite knowledge encompasses, in our religion, in this world, and in the hereafter. And avert and lift from us and from them every evil — immediate and deferred, outward and inward — that Your infinite knowledge encompasses, in our religion, in this world and in the hereafter. O Master of religion, this world, and the hereafter.

O Allāh! {Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire!} [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verse 201] {Our Lord! Do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.} [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verse 286]

And may Your blessings and peace be upon Your servant and Messenger, our master Muḥammad, and upon his family and companions. And grant us perfection in following him, outwardly and inwardly, in well-being and safety, by Your mercy

O Most Merciful of all who show mercy. (3 times)

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

O Allah, move us and all Muslims from wretchedness to happiness; from the Fire to Paradise; from punishment to mercy; from sins to forgiveness; from wrongdoing to doing what is excellent; from fear to security; from poverty to richness; from humiliation to honor; from disgrace to dignity; from constriction to ease and spaciousness; from evil to good; from hardship to ease; from turning away to turning toward You; from sickness to health; from displeasure to contentment; from heedlessness to repentance and return; from slackness to striving; from being forsaken and left to ourselves to true success and Your enabling help; from harmful unorthodox religious practices to the Prophetic way; and from injustice to justice.

O Allah, aid us in our religion by means of this world; and aid us in this world through mindfulness of You; and aid us in mindfulness of You through righteous deeds; and aid us in righteous deeds through Your divine enabling. And aid us in all of that through Your gentle kindness that leads to Your pleasure, that ends in Your Paradise and gazing upon Your noble Countenance.

O Allah (three times), O my Lord (three times), O my Helper (three times), O Most Generous of the generous, O Most Merciful, O Most Compassionate, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, and of tremendous gifts.

May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muḥammad, and upon his family and his companions. And all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds.

I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Magnificent—there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer—and I repent to Him.

O Allah, I ask You to grant me success in doing the deeds You love; true reliance on You; a good opinion of You; and sufficiency so that I need no one besides You. My God, O Gentle One, O Provider, O Loving One, O Strong, O Firm, I ask You for total devotion to You and complete absorption in You; for an all-encompassing gentleness from Your presence; for abundant provision, wholesome and beneficial; for longevity; for righteous deeds grounded in faith and certainty; for steadfast adherence to truth and the religion; and for honor and nobility that remain and endure eternally, untouched by arrogance, rebellion, or corruption. You are indeed All-Hearing and Ever-Near. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muḥammad, and upon his family and his companions. And all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds.

God, we ask You by Your Supreme Name and by the honour of the Chosen One: grant us relief

With the Name of Allāh, our Master, we begin and we praise Him for His favours upon us

Through this medium we implore You in every matter the One who answers all of creation's cry, Lord of the Worlds

And by all Names divinely revealed and by those unrevealed, protected and preserved

And by every Divine Book that the Most High has revealed and by the Qur’ān, a cure for the believers

And by the Guide (the Prophet), we ask him to intercede (in our request to You) and take recourse to him and by all the Prophets and Messengers

And by their families and all their companions as well as the followers, intercession's our call

And we invoke You by all the angelic hosts and by all the hidden knowledge of my Lord

And by the scholars (preserving) the command of Allāh (i.e the religion), one and all and by all the saints and the righteous

I mention especially the Imām, the true Qutb the Eminence of the Religion, the Crown of all Gnostics

He ascended and established himself firmly in the station of spiritual authority and mastered both the sacred law and spiritual certainty

The remembrance of al-‛Aydarūs, the Qutb, is most potent in removing rust from the hearts of the sincere

Virtuous one of the religion, true reviver of the religion with him lies our arbitration and we follow his example

And we don’t forget to mention Kamāl ad-Dīn Sa‛d one of exalted spiritual state and crown of the worshippers

(And the composer of these verses, Abū Bakr, an Imām whom his Lord endowed with immense stature) *This line was added by al-Ḥabīb Ibrāhīm bin ʽUmar bin ʽAqīl bin Yahya, who was the Muftī of Taiz

Through them we beseech the Master, the Most High for forgiveness that will envelop all who are present

And to show all encompassing gentleness (from Him) and continual covering of faults as well as forgiveness for every sinner

We close these verses with a great fortification With Allāh’s might, we can never be overpowered

Allāh’s protective veil is draped upon us and Allāh’s caring gaze is upon us

We complete this poem with salutations upon Muḥammad Imām of all and the best of intercessors

O Knower of our inner reality do not remove Your protective veil from us Give us well-being and pardon us and be with us wherever we are

My Lord, You know my state! It is to You that I have turned all my hopes So look upon us with favor be with us, and set our condition right

O Lord! Lord of all masters! Your servant in need is at Your door I come to You after every means has failed hoping to be restored after falling so low

O You whose generosity is boundless — be generous! All good is Yours, and comes from You far beyond anything Your servant could hope for So save me with Your mercy. Save me now

O Originator of all creation! Your goodness extends to all that exists I beg of You to conceal my ugly deeds and folly

O Seer of the secrets of my heart! It is enough for me that You look at me Wipe away my sins with Your pardon and set my intentions and actions aright

My Lord, on You I rely just as on You I depend Truly, my utmost desire is Your eternal satisfaction

My Lord, my Lord I ask You to pardon me My good opinion of You has never been let down O Eternal Owner of Sovereignty, Guardian of all

I complain to You and I cry over the misfortune of my wrongdoings and falsehood my evil deeds and my neglect my lust for idle talk and gossip

and my love for this blameworthy world which is barren of all virtue loaded with calamities filled with troubles and distractions

Alas for my deviating lower self straying from the straight path goading me on to chase after fame and fortune

O Lord, my lower self has overpowered me and imprisoned me with desires It has subdued me with endless craving and shackled me in chains

I seek Your help, my Lord to heal my heart! Release me from distress Look, and let the sorrow be lifted

Lord, O best of those who suffice! Grace us with well-being Nothing at all is hidden from You whether in detail or in sum

O Lord! Your servant is at Your door fearing the pain of Your punishment yet hoping for the reward You give and the rain of Your mercy pours without cease

Coming to You with an apology broken and in need So overcome my hardship with Your ease simply because of Your generosity and grace

And bless me with a repentance that washes me of every sin And protect me from relapsing into evil which I have resolved to turn away from

For You are the Sovereign of all Sovereigns! Alone in perfection! In exaltation and sublimity You transcend all comparison

Your generosity, grace and goodness are hoped for. Your punishment and irresistible power are feared. Remembrance of You and gratitude to You are obligatory — as is praise and glorification of You

O my Lord! You are my helper so grant me all good Make Your paradise my destination and bring my life to a close upon faith

And bestow Your blessings always upon the dispeller of all misguidance —he whom even the gazelle came to speak to— Muḥammad, the guide who leads to God

Praise be to Allāh in gratitude for blessings that flow from Him without cease We praise Him in the quiet of our hearts and aloud morning and evening

O Most Merciful of all who show mercy Grant the Muslims relief

Our Lord, Most Generous! Our Lord, Most Merciful! You are the Generous, the Forbearing, You are the best of helpers

We place our hope in none but You So rescue us quickly before ruin and destruction engulf both this world and faith

We have no one, our Lord but You. You are enough for us O Most High, Self-Sufficient Possessor of all Strength and Might

We ask You to give us a ruler who will establish justice so that we may remain upright upon Your straight guidance and never obey the accursed one

O Lord, Answerer of prayers! You are the One who hears all and is ever near The world, vast as it is, has grown suffocatingly small so look upon the believers

With a gaze that removes all hardship from us, and draws what we long for near and grants us well-being at every moment

We beseech You by the honour of our righteous forebears to give us a ruler who upholds the sacred limits who keeps the covetous at bay and repels the oppressors

one who removes all vices who establishes prayers who commands what is good a lover of the righteous

one who banishes all that is unlawful overpowers every tyrant establishes justice among all people and brings safety to those who live in fear

My Lord, send us widespread rain beneficial and blessed that returns year after year through the passage of time

Lord, let us live as people of gratitude and let us die as Muslims Let us be resurrected among those granted safety and in the ranks of those foremost in faith

By the honour of Ṭāhā the Messenger grant us, our Lord, Your acceptance and grant us all we request Lord, respond to my supplication. Ameen

Your giving, my Lord, is boundless And all that You do is beautiful In You we place our utmost hope so be generous to those who are hopeful

O Lord! The noose has tightened on account of intolerable deeds So show us grace and break the chains of those tied in bondage to their sins

Forgive every sin conceal our every shame Remove every distress and protect us from those who seek to harm us

Grant us the most beautiful ending when life draws near its close when death approaches and sweat gathers on the brow

And may salutations and peace be upon the intercessor for all humanity and upon his family — what honourable ones — and his companions and all who follow them

My Lord, Possessor of sublime attributes I stand before You asking for Your generosity

At the door of hope, I stand in my lowliness so turn to me and rescue me before death comes

The generous Messenger is the door of my hope he is my rescue and the rescue of all creation

So help me through him, and let my heart attain all that it hopes and longs for

Reunite me in happiness and light rejoicing at the sight of the Hashimite Prophet's face

With true devotion to You in everything we seek and truthfulness in every intention

My Lord, lead us on the way of those men who trod the path of mindfulness of You exemplarily

And guide us, our Lord, as You have guided the gnostic masters, people of virtue

Make knowledge our guide, through spiritual tasting, so that we can grasp the profound reality of Your nearness

And protect my heart from being touched by the devil, the ego, its desires, and all that is low

My Lord's knowledge is enough for me I need not ask or choose

So my prayers and pleas are simply proof of how utterly I need Him

This is why I keep calling on Him in times of ease and times of hardship

I am a servant. My pride lies in my utter need of Him

O my Lord and my Sovereign! You know the state I am in

And what has beset my heart of worries and preoccupations

So rescue me with Your kindness O Master of all

O Most Generous, save me before my patience fails me

O the One Swift in Aid! Send me swift rescue and relief

that will vanquish all hardship, and bring all that I hope for

O Near One! O Responsive One! O All-Knowing! O All-Hearing!

I have fully realized my incapacity my submission and my brokenness

I have never left Your door so my Lord, have mercy on me as I wait there

I have made my camp in the valley of Your grace so, my Lord, let me stay

I persevere on account of my good opinion of You it is my bosom friend and ally

and my comfort and my companion throughout my day and night

There is a need within my soul, O Lord fulfil it, for You are the best of those who fulfil needs

Grant comfort to my innermost and my heart from its burning and heat

In a state of happiness and elation If You are pleased with me

then well-being and expansiveness will be my spiritual condition my inner garment and my outer cloak

Say with me: We ask Allāh to forgive all our evil deeds.

We turn back to Allah in repentance for our sins, our faults and all that they have caused.

We repent to Allāh for our words, our every movement and our every pause.

We ask Allāh the Magnificent for forgiveness as many times as the number of our thoughts

with every thought, as many times as the number of all things in creation, multiplied over and over

We ask this for ourselves, our loved ones, and for all the faithful, past and future

for what we knew and what we were ignorant of, and for all moments of heedlessness

and in all that is forbidden, recommended, permissible, disliked, or obligatory.

And for all that Allāh knows, whether past or forthcoming.

We ask Allāh the Magnificent to forgive all believers, male and female.

O Allāh, ensure! O Allāh, ensure! O Allāh, ensure a good end!

O Protector, safeguard and secure us among those who are steadfast,

Forgive us for all that You know (about us), and grant us every gift.

O Allāh! Replace our sins and their consequences with good deeds.

O Allāh! We hear and we obey, so guide us towards righteousness.

Our Lord! Give us good in this world and in the hereafter,

and grant us true certainty, together with complete well-being

that endures; and set right what has become corrupt, and remove all harm.

Guidance, attentive care, and blessings come from You in abundance.

Whatever You will comes to pass, so look upon us with mercy.

God, graciously accept our works and our prayers

Let us enter paradise alongside Ṭāhā and his family in the first row

Let us be with them always in this world and in the next

Forgive the one who composed these words and all who recite them, male and female alike

And anyone who hears them, spreads them, or writes them — male and female alike

Have mercy and grant success to the Ummah of Ahmad, guide them and set right their intentions

Upon him may Allāh bestow blessings and peace, to the number of all the atoms in creation,

And upon his family, all the Prophets, and all righteous men and women

at every moment forever, as great as the number of moments.

And all praise belongs to Allah, in the way He loves, equal to His infinite favors

to the number of His creation, to the extent of His pleasure, to the weight of His Throne, and the ink that it would take to write His Words.

Glory be to your Lord; the Lord of Honour and Power Who is far above what they attribute to Him; And peace be on the Messengers; And praise be to Allāh, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.

In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Ever-Merciful. O Allah — whose authority is beyond all measure, whose kindness has no beginning, whose blessings never cease, whose generosity is inexhaustible, whose giving knows no bound, whose tender care works quietly in ways we cannot see, whose handiwork is beautiful beyond telling, and who is forbearing not hastening to punish, bestow prayers, O Lord, upon our master Muhammad and his Family and grant them peace, and be pleased with all of his Companions.

O Allah, all praise is Yours, and we offer it with gratitude. All favours are from You, and You bestow them freely. You are, in truth, our Lord, and we are, in full reality, Your servants. You have always been worthy of this, and You always will be. O the One who eases every difficulty, O Mender of every broken one, O Companion of every solitary one, O Enricher of every impoverished one, O Strengthener of every weak one, O the One who gives safety to every frightened one, alleviate all our hardships, for easing difficulties is easy for You.

O Allah, the One who needs neither explanation nor elaboration, our needs are many, and about them You are All-Knowing, All Aware.

O Allah, I fear You, and I fear those who fear You, and I fear those who do not fear You.

O Allah, for the sake of those who fear You, save us from those who do not fear You.

O Allah, for the sake of our master Muhammad, watch over us with Your ever-vigilant gaze, enfold us in Your protection that cannot be breached, and have mercy on us by virtue of Your power over us, so that we do not perish — for You are our trust and our hope.

And may Allah bestow prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad, his Family and Companions. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds — praise as vast as the number of His creation, the extent of His good-pleasure, the magnitude of His throne, and the ink that it would take to write His Words.

O Allah, we ask You for an increase in faith, blessings in our lives, good health, ample provisions, repentance before death comes, to die bearing witness, forgiveness after death, pardon at the reckoning, safety from punishment, a share of Paradise, and the honor of seeing Your noble countenance. May Allah bestow His prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad, his Family, and his Companions.

{Glorified is your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. And peace be upon the Messengers, and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds}, by the number of His creation, the extent of His good-pleasure, the magnitude of His throne, and the ink that it would take to write His Words.

You are my reliance, You are my support You are my saviour from all hardship

I turn my whole being to You rush to my Aid, O Most Great!

Make easy the means for all good and remove all difficulties

And open for us all doors with Your support, O Most Generous

And foil the plot of every schemer and rebellious tyrant

And every envious and stubborn enemy by the secret of “Ṭā Sīn Mīm”

I ask Allāh’s forgiveness — there is no god but He, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, who never dies. I repent to Him. O Lord, forgive me. (27 times)

I ask Allāh’s forgiveness for all believing men and women. (27 times)
