أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ سَيِّدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ، وَبِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ، صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَصَدَقَ رَسُولُهُ، صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَصَدَقَ رُسُلُهُ، آمَنْتُ بِالشَّرِيعَةِ، وَصَدَّقْتُ بِالشَّرِيعَةِ، وَإِنْ كُنْتُ قُلْتُ شَيْئًا خِلَافَ الْإِجْمَاعِ رَجَعْتُ عَنْهُ، وَتَبَرَّأْتُ مِنْ كُلِّ دِينٍ يُخَالِفُ دِينَ الْإِسْلَامِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُؤْمِنُ بِمَا تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ عِنْدَكَ، وَأَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ مِمَّا تَعَلَمُ أَنَّهُ الْبَاطِلُ عِنْدَكَ، فَخُذْ مِنِّي جُمَلًا وَلَا تُطَالِبْنِي بِالتَّفْصِيلِ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, One without partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I believe in Allah, His Angels, His Scriptures, His Messengers, the Last Day, and the Divine Decree— its good and evil. What Allah has said is true, and what His Messenger has said is true. What Allah has said is true, and what His messengers have said is true. I believe in the Shariah, and I accept it as true, and if I have ever said anything that contradicts scholarly consensus, I retract it. I absolve myself from every religion that contradicts the religion of Islam. O Allah, I believe in what You know to be true, and I absolve myself from what You know is false. Accept this from me in summary, and do not hold me to a detailed accounting.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (3)

I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent and repent to Him (3 times).

نَدِمْتُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

I regret all evil.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ سَيِّدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، وَأَنَّ عِيسَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ وَابْنُ أَمَتِهِ، وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ، وَأَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ حَقٌ، وَأَنَّ النَّارَ حَقٌ، وَأَنَّ كُلَّ مَا أَخْبَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَقٌّ، وَأَنَّ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ فِي تَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَطَاعَتِهِ، وَأَنَّ شَرَّ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ وَمُخَالَفَتِهِ، وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, One without partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger; and that Jesus is His servant and Messenger, the son of His maidservant, and His word which He cast into Mary, and a Spirit from Him. And [I bear witness] that Paradise is real, and that Hellfire is real—and that everything the Messenger of Allah informed of (Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is true. And that the best of this world and the hereafter lies in being mindful of Allah and obeying Him; and that the worst of this world and the hereafter is in disobeying Allah and going against Him. And that the Hour is surely coming, with no doubt in it, and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ سَيِّدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ أُفْنِي بِهَا عُمْرِي، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ أَدْخُلُ بِهَا قَبْرِي، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ أَخْلُو بِهَا وَحْدِي، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ أَلْقَى بِهَا رَبِّي، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَبْقَى رَبُّنَا وَيَفْنَى كُلُّ شَيْءٍ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ نَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ نَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ نَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ نَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ، لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, One without partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. “There is no god but Allah”—I end my life with it. “There is no god but Allah”—I enter my grave with it. “There is no god but Allah”—I remain alone with it. “There is no god but Allah”—I meet my Lord with it. “There is no god but Allah” before everything. “There is no god but Allah” after everything. “There is no god but Allah”—our Lord remains while everything perishes. “There is no god but Allah”—we seek Allah’s forgiveness. “There is no god but Allah”—we seek Allah’s forgiveness. “There is no god but Allah”—we seek Allah’s forgiveness. “There is no god but Allah”—we repent to Allah. There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
