Al-Fātiḥah to the presence of Prophet Muḥammad, may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him, his family and companions. I seek refuge in Allāh from Satan, the accursed. In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allāh, Lord of all the worlds; the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgement. You alone we worship, and to You alone we turn for help. Guide us to the Straight Path, the Path of those You have blessed, not those who have incurred Your wrath, nor those who went astray. Āmīn [Sūrah Al-Fātiḥah (1), Verses 1-7]
Allāh! There is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither slumber nor sleep can overtake Him. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the Heavens and whatsoever is on the earth. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what will happen to (His creatures) in this world and what will happen to them in the Hereafter; nor shall they comprehend anything at all of His Knowledge except as He Wills. His Throne encompasses the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not burden Him in the slightest. He is the Exalted, the Magnificent. [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verse 255]
The Messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. Each of them believes in Allāh, His Angels, His Books and His Messengers. They say: “We do not differentiate between any of His Messengers. We hear and we obey. We ask Your forgiveness, our Lord! And to You is our return." Allāh does not burden any soul with more than it can bear. It has [the good] it has earned, and [the evil] it commits. “Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place a burden on us like the one You placed on those before us. Our Lord, do not place on us what we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Master. So grant us victory over those who deny the truth.” Āmīn [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2), Verses 285-286]
There is no god except Allah, One without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and He gives death, and He has power over all things. (3 times)
Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh, may Allah bless him, grant him peace, honour, elevate, glorify and exalt him. And may Allāh the Exalted be well-pleased with his purified household, his rightly-guided companions, and those who follow them with excellence till the Day of Judgement.
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Sustainer needed by all. He begot no one nor was He begotten. None is comparable to Him. [Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ] (3 times)
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful. Say: I take refuge with the Lord of the daybreak — from the evil in what He has created, from the evil of darkness as it descends, from the evil of those who blow on knots to cast spells, and from the evil of the envier when he envies. [Sūrah Al-Falaq]
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of humankind, the Sovereign of humankind, the God of humankind — from the evil of the slinking whisperer, who whispers into the hearts of people—whether from among jinn or humankind. [Sūrah Al-Nās]
Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master, our beloved and our intercessor, the Messenger of Allāh, Muḥammad bin ‛Abd Allāh, and his family, his companions, his wives, his progeny and his household; and for the soul of our master the Emigrant to Allah, Ahmad bin ‛Īsa, and all his forebears and descendants. We ask that Allāh raise their ranks in Paradise, multiply their rewards and magnify their good deeds; that He protect us through their standing with Him, benefit us by them, shelter us under their protection, support us with their spiritual aid, and grant us from their blessings, spiritual secrets, light, knowledge, and spiritual gifts — in our religion, in this life, and in the hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]
Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master, the supreme teacher and foremost jurisprudent, Muḥammad bin ‛Alī Bā ‛Alawī and all his forebears and descendants, and all our noble masters of the Bā ‛Alawī lineage, their forebears and descendants. We ask that Allāh raise their ranks in Paradise, multiply their rewards and magnify their good deeds; that He protect us through their standing with Him, benefit us by them, shelter us under their protection, and support us with their spiritual aid, and grant us from their blessings, spiritual secrets, light, knowledge, and spiritual gifts — in our religion, in this life, and in the hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]
Al-Fātiḥah for the souls of our noble Ṣūfi masters wherever they may be and wherever their souls have come to rest, in the East or the West. We ask that Allāh raise their ranks in Paradise, multiply their rewards and magnify their good deeds; that He protect us through their standing with Him, benefit us by them, shelter us under their protection, support us with their spiritual aid, and grant us from their blessings, spiritual secrets, light, knowledge, and spiritual gifts — in our religion, in this life, and in the hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah]
Al-Fātiḥah for the soul of our master, the compiler of this Rātib, the Axis of Guidance and the spiritual succour for the servants of Allāh and all lands, al-Habib ‛Abd Allāh bin ‛Alawī bin Muḥammad al-Ḥaddād and all his forebears and descendants. We ask that Allāh raise their ranks in Paradise, multiply their rewards and magnify their good deeds; that He protect us through their standing with Him, benefit us by them, shelter us under their protection, support us with their spiritual aid, and grant us from their blessings, spiritual secrets, light, knowledge, and spiritual gifts — in our religion, in this life, and in the hereafter. [Recite al-Fātiḥah].
Al-Fātiḥah for the souls of all the righteous servants of Allāh, our parents, our teachers in religion, all those who have a right upon us, and the deceased of this land, one and all, from among those who testified that there is no god but Allāh; and for the souls of all departed Muslims, and those still living, until the Day of Judgement. We ask that Allāh forgive them and have mercy on them; that He ease the hardships of the Muslims, show them compassion, cure their sick, unite them upon right guidance, bring harmony among them, place over them the best among them as leaders and remove from them the worst, and spare us and them from the evil of trials, tribulations, agitators, and aggressors — near or far. We ask that He ease their livelihoods and send down abundant rain, give every petitioner among us what he asks, in whatever pleases Allāh and His Messenger, and that He open for us the spiritual openings given to those who truly know Him. We ask that He grant safety and well-being to all Muslim pilgrims, travelers, mujahideen — on land, at sea, and in the air — and that He return them to their homelands after achieving their aims, safe and sound, protected and prosperous. And we ask that He seal our lives with the best of endings while He is pleased with us, in a state of goodness, gentleness and well-being. And finally — al-Fātiḥah — to the presence of the Prophet Muḥammad, may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him and his family. After reading the Fātiḥah one raises their hands and asks for whatever one wants and then says:
O Allāh, we ask You for Your Pleasure and Paradise, and we take refuge in You from Your Displeasure and the Hellfire. (3 times) The following is added:
May Allāh reward our master Muḥammad (blessings and peace on him) with good on our behalf. May Allāh reward our master Muḥammad (blessings and peace on him) as befits him. (3 times)
May Allāh reward our master and Prophet Muḥammad, (may the blessings and peace of Allāh be upon him, his family and companions) with the most excellent reward ever granted to a Prophet on behalf of his ummah.
